New technology saves wood and protects the environment

Thanks to new technology, the utilisation rate of the wood we process has increased enormously. Our wood acquisition is controlled by the customers’ needs and the high acquisition of saw-timber tree. When selling a stand marked for cutting, a forest owner should now pay special attention to the amount of saw-timber tree, because our new production plant guarantees efficient timber utilisation from start to end. Besides for the customer-oriented log bucking, efficiency is increased especially with the new hewsaw line that is able to saw Finnish spruce and pine tree with a top diameter of 12–42 cm. This way, for example, the total sum gained from marked timber will increase due to good bucking, although the unit price might not be the highest. The utilisation of more varied raw material from the forest and increased efficiency in production are long-awaited good news for wood sellers in our region.
